While cellulase is the enzyme to degrade this carbon and it is a key enzyme in the bio refinery process of producing green chemicals (Ponnambalam et al., 2011). In screening for the cellulolytic fungi, several qualitative display of cellulolytic such congo red clearing zone assay, gel diffusion assay and dyed congo red filter paper clearing zone assay can be used.
Abstract In this work, we attached cellulase onto vermiculite by adsorption and crosslinking via glutaraldehyde, and examined the properties of the immobilised enzyme. The results indicated that immobilisation was achived with 35% yield. Reusability of immobilised enzyme was determined as 18 times with 40% residual activity.
Zsolt Szengyel's 16 research works with 926 citations and 1,775 reads, including: Effect of Acetic Acid and Furfural on Cellulase Production of Trichoderma reesei RUT C30.
The cellulase displayed high catalytic activity with untreated sawdust, followed by carboxymethyl cellulose, while sodium hydroxide treated sawdust was the least hydrolyzed. Since the enzyme is thermo-stable, alkalophilic and could utilize natural wastes like sawdust as substrate, it is obvious that it would be of great use in textile, starch processing and pulp and paper industries.
Materials Science Cellulases are the enzymes which hydrolysis cellulosic biomass and are being produced by the microorganisms grown over cellulosic matters. Cellulase is an important enzyme which can be obtained from cheap agrowastes,as well as cellulose as substrates by using submerged fermentation and solid state fermentation.
